Review on Fraser Island

Fraser Island stretches over 123 kilometres in length and 22 kilometres at its widest point. With an area of 184 000 hectares it is the largest sand island in the world.

From Frasers rich history it holds to its beauty, no wonder why it is one of the most popular holidaying places in Australia if not the world.

There are plenty of things to see and do on the island such as the crystal clear waters of Champagne pools, to pure white sands of lake Mackenzie. There is also Eli Creek which is the largest creek on the eastern beach and pours up to 4 million Liters of clear fresh water into the ocean every hour. Eli creek is every popular with the tourists and offers a great place to swim or relax. Other great places  to visit on the island are Maheno wreck, The Pinnacles, The Cathedrals, Indian head and middle rocks just to name a few.

When Planing your trip to Fraser it is important to consider a lot of things, and it is also very important to do as much research as possible.

Kilkivan Bush Camping Park

Thunderbird Park at Mount Tamborine

Goomburra Valley Campground

Binna Burra Campground - small camping area near the rainforest tracks of Lamington National Park. There are also on-site tents, perfect for those without their own gear

Neurum Creek (near Woodford) Picked by one of your Friendly staff as one of the best camp sites for Families, and activity's during school holidays.

Elanda Point campground (north of Tewantin at the Noosa everglades) - with large, grassy sites and canoes for hire

Lake Somerset - camp on 45 hectares of land surrounding Somerset Dam. The dam is nice and full, promising good fishing and boating, including water skiing. It offers more of a caravan park setting than secluded camping.
